A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP)! We are seeking bright and energetic speech-language pathologists or those in their Clinical Fellow year for full time school positions in the following areas. We serve public, charter, and private schools so there is a wide range of experiences! We are also GROWING and expanding into the Miami area! The current opening services a school in the Coral Springs area, zip code: 33065

School Year Summary:
As a business owner herself, Jessica Otto has grown Florida Kids Therapy Services out of a need to serve the community and build amazing teams. Why join us? We offer consistent support, growth, and development to our SLP's through a full-time year round mentor. We engage in monthly mentor sessions, team building, and a rotating calendar of availability with a mentor who understands IEP's and students' / SLPs' needs. We host monthly team dinners and we work within a growth mindset. We also give you the flexibility to work within a W2 or 1099 status. Responsibilities:
Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders. Treat speech, language, and communication disorders. Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary. Provide training and education to families/teachers and other professionals. Work collaboratively with professionals from other disciplines in the educational setting. Participate in professional development opportunities and continuing education. Maintain accurate and timely student records in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. Complete school based required documentation and IEPs/ Participate in IEP meetings in a school, including school staff and families.
Qualifications:
Strong work ethic Certificate of Clinical Competence or be in their Clinical Fellowship Year Speech-language pathologists seeking this position would benefit from: Pediatric treatment experience Experience with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) School experience Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Physical Requirements:
Work is performed in a school setting. Ability to perform job duties that require sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time Comfortable sitting using a computer and phone
