Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting student communication and academic success as a contract Speech Language Pathologist in the Florida Panhandle. This full-time opportunity begins August 11, 2026, and continues through June 1, 2027, with placements available at one or two school campuses based on your preferences and experience. You'll work on-site only (not open to virtual service) with students in preK through age 22, tailoring interventions to diverse needs across elementary, middle, or exceptional student populations.
Key Qualifications:
Active FL DOH Provisional SLP License required Previous school-based experience is highly valued Ability to complete Florida fingerprinting requirements (prior prints through the AHCA Clearinghouse may be valid) Strong interpersonal and communication abilities for collaboration with staff, students, and families Commitment to equity and inclusion for all learners Flexibility to work at one location or travel between two area schools, as assigned
Primary Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy to students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders Develop and track individualized education plans (IEPs) in partnership with multidisciplinary teams Consult with classroom teachers and parents to support student progress Maintain accurate and timely documentation to ensure compliance with district and state requirements Adapt services and materials to fit a wide range of ages and abilities This contract role offers full-time hours (up to 37.5 per week) alongside a supportive school community.
