A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.
Speech-Language Pathologist (CFY Considered) Join our growing team as a Speech-Language Pathologist and make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families. We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and collaborative clinician to provide high-quality pediatric speech and language services in a supportive environment. Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are encouraged to apply and will receive mentorship and supervision to support a successful transition into independent practice. This position offers the opportunity to work with children presenting with a variety of communication, feeding, and developmental needs while collaborating with families and other professionals to help each child reach their fullest potential. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations to assess communication, language, articulation, fluency, voice, social communication, and feeding/swallowing skills as appropriate. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluation findings and family goals. Provide evidence-based therapy services to children with speech and language disorders, autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, and other communication challenges. Address expressive language, receptive language, articulation, phonological disorders, social communication, fluency, and other areas of need. Collaborate with parents, caregivers, educators, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to support carryover and maximize outcomes. Provide parent education, home programs, and recommendations to support communication development outside of therapy sessions. Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation within electronic health record systems. Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration, treatment planning, and professional development opportunities. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Eligible for state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred for fully licensed applicants. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary pediatric team. Commitment to providing compassionate, family-centered, evidence-based care. Preferred Experience Experience working with pediatric populations through clinical placements, internships, or professional practice. Experience supporting children with autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, speech sound disorders, language disorders, and social communication challenges. Knowledge of evidence-based pediatric speech and language interventions. Experience with feeding and swallowing disorders is a plus. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical documentation practices.
