School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Deland, Florida Sunbelt Staffing - 3.8 DeLand, FL Job Details Part-time | Full-time 21 hours ago Qualifications Speech-Language Pathology License Autism spectrum disorders support Working with individuals who use assistive communication devices Full Job Description Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity supporting students in a dynamic Florida school district for the 2026-2027 academic year. Multiple openings are available for skilled SLPs—including recent graduates with CCC or CFY—eager to make a lasting difference in student communication and learning. Positions range from maternity coverage through longer-term placements in various elementary, middle, and high schools within Volusia County. You'll collaborate with supportive interdisciplinary teams, serve diverse caseloads, and positively impact students' daily lives. Several roles require experience working with severe-profound populations and strong competencies in AAC implementation.
Qualifications & Desired Background:
Active Florida SLP license (Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred) Previous school-based SLP experience, especially with severe-profound populations and AAC Willingness to support a variety of student needs across grade levels Comfortable with in-person service provision; not accepting SLPAs or virtual candidates CFs welcome—comprehensive onsite supervision is provided
Responsibilities & Key Duties:
Evaluate, diagnose, and provide speech-language therapy services per student IEPs Collaborate with general/special education staff and families Maintain updated, compliant documentation and progress reports Develop and implement AAC strategies when appropriate Support students in individual and group sessions Effectively manage dynamic caseloads across selected schools
