Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in the Deland, FL area supporting multiple elementary and middle schools within the district. This contract role offers the opportunity to provide vital speech-language services to students across diverse age groups, contributing to their communication development and academic success.
Locations and Schedule:
Ormond Beach Elementary School:
3 days per week
Pine Trail Elementary School:
1 day per week
Silver Sands Middle School:
4 days per week (alternate weeks) This year's position totals 4 days per week in elementary and 4 days at middle school; next year transitions into a full 5-day week role Full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week Start date: ASAP to June 5, 2026
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct speech and language evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement therapy sessions tailored to students' needs Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines Supervise Clinical Fellows (CFs) when applicable
Qualifications:
Florida SLP license required Accepting Bachelor's degree clinicians willing to work under a temporary teaching certificate; not applicable for SLPA license holders Certified Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred Experience working in school settings highly desirable Ability to commit to the position through June 2026 This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in students' communication abilities within a supportive educational environment.
