Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Exciting opportunity for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to make an impact this school year in a part-time capacity working with elementary students. This contract position offers the chance to collaborate with a supportive educational team and help shape student success. The assignment runs from August 10 through the end of the school year and requires a commitment of three days per week (24 hours weekly).
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid SLP licensure in Florida (or eligibility to obtain before start date) CCC-SLP certification or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) considered Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills Ability to create engaging therapy plans tailored to individual student needs Commitment to confidentiality and ethical practice
What You'll Do:
Provide direct speech-language therapy services to elementary students with varied communication needs Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and implement individualized therapy interventions Work closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure student progress Monitor student outcomes, document sessions, and maintain compliance with district requirements Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional input for student growth Adapt therapy techniques based on student response and current best practices
