As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat individuals across various age groups, focusing on enhancing their speech, language, and cognitive-communication skills. Duties Conduct thorough assessments of patients' speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing abilities using standardized tools and clinical observations. Provide evidence-based speech therapy interventions to improve communication skills and address speech or language disorders. Collaborate with educators, physicians, and families to ensure cohesive care plans and support systems for patients. Monitor progress regularly and adjust therapy approaches to optimize outcomes. Maintain detailed documentation of patient evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress reports in compliance with regulatory standards. Skills Proven experience working within school environments or pediatric settings with a focus on early intervention. Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques applicable to diverse populations, including children with developmental delays or disabilities. Familiarity with physiology related to speech production, voice mechanics, and swallowing functions. Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments using appropriate medical terminology and anatomical knowledge. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach tailored to individual needs. Solid understanding of anatomy and physiology relevant to speech-language pathology.
