Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into an impactful role supporting students' communication development in a dynamic school environment. This contract opportunity is available for speech-language pathologists who are passionate about making a difference in education. Volusia County is seeking SLPs to fill immediate, part-time openings for the 2026-2027 school year at several school sites, including Taylor Middle High, University High, and Hinson Middle, with a commitment from August 4, 2026, through May 28, 2027. This is a rewarding chance to work collaboratively with a dedicated team, with supervision provided for Clinical Fellows (CFs).

Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current or pending Florida SLP license (CCC preferred; CFs are welcome with supervision offered) Prior experience in a school-based setting is a plus Strong communication, organization, and collaborative skills Commitment to fostering student growth within diverse educational environments
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify student speech and language needs Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Deliver direct therapy services and monitor student progress Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and educators to support learning outcomes Maintain accurate documentation and meet all compliance requirements Take advantage of a consistent weekday schedule, working 37.5 hours per week, which offers a blend of professional challenge and work-life balance.
