Applicants must have a current SLP license in the state of Florida in good standing, and must be ASHA Certified. At least one year of experience in a long term care setting is preferred. Essential Job Duties are as follows, but are not limited to, Assessing functional levels and capabilities of residents swallowing and speech, as well as make make recommendations related to residents therapy treatments Provides speech therapy treatments by following residents plan of care Develops goals which are measurable, and realistic based on residents care plan Participates in discharge planning process Thoroughly documents treatment progress in residents charts accurately and timely as well as completes required company forms and documents to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations Conducts, rates, and interprets hearing and speech evaluations and tests Maintains positive working relationship with residents and their families, as well as provide them with any training and education for speech therapy and proper speech monitoring techniques Preforms overall supervision to SLP- CFYs and rehabilitation aides to ensure quality rehab care services Helps assist residents to the gym, schedule appointments, take calls, reorder supplies and completes insurance form
