Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A contract position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Pompano Beach, FL, working onsite within a K-5 school setting. This role offers the opportunity to provide essential speech and language support to young learners in a dynamic educational environment, serving students in grades kindergarten through 5th grade. Responsibilities include conducting speech and language assessments, developing individualized therapy plans, and delivering targeted interventions to support students' communication needs. Collaboration with teachers, counselors, and families is key to fostering student progress and ensuring a supportive learning atmosphere.
Key role details:
Onsite work in a K-5 grade school building 3 to 4 days per week commitment 23 to 28 hours weekly schedule Contract position Qualifications and experience desired: Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), including credentials such as CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) or CFY (Clinical Fellowship Year) Experience working in school-based settings servicing similar age groups Strong understanding of speech and language development in children Ability to design and implement effective therapy plans tailored to individual student needs Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams This role is ideal for an SLP passionate about supporting early childhood communication development in a structured school setting.
