Job Description

Speech-Language Pathologist Join Our Team at Riverwood Health and Rehabilitation We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our per diem team at Riverwood Health and Rehabilitation in Starke, Florida. As a valued member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide speech and language assessments, treatments, and therapy services to our patients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. About the
Role:
As a per diem Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you will work on an as-needed basis to provide services to our patients, ensuring continuity of care and support. You will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with a range of speech and language disorders, including cognitive-communication disorders, voice disorders, fluency disorders, and swallowing disorders. You will develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with our interdisciplinary team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and physical therapists. You will provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers to promote carryover of skills and strategies.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify speech and language disorders. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address specific communication goals. Deliver speech and language therapy services, including cognitive-communication therapy and swallowing therapy. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement interdisciplinary treatment plans. Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers to promote carryover of skills and strategies. Document patient progress and treatment outcomes in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Requirements:
Current certification in speech-language pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Florida state licensure as a speech-language pathologist. Experience working with adult and geriatric populations preferred.
