Our caseload is entirely specialized:
tethered oral tissues, infant and pediatric feeding disorders, dysphagia, failure to thrive, g-tube dependence, selective eating and sensory aversion, oral motor delay, mouth breathing, and orofacial myofunctional disorders — including pre- and post-frenectomy care, reattachment, and pre- and post-orthodontic work. Owner Marissa Douglas, M.S., CCC-SLP holds certifications through Fed the Peds, The Myo Method, and Myo Munchee, and the practice also offers parent education courses and workshops alongside its clinical caseload. Because we are private-pay, treatment decisions are made clinically rather than by an insurance plan. There are no authorizations to chase, no visit caps, and no goals written to satisfy a payer. Position Summary We are seeking an experienced pediatric speech-language pathologist to join our practice two days per week, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role as the caseload builds. Our caseload is built on an established waitlist and ongoing referral relationships with pediatric dentists, lactation consultants, and bodyworkers across the Tampa Bay area — new clinicians here do not start from zero and do not build a caseload through their own marketing. This position is well suited to a clinician with a general pediatric background who is interested in developing specialized expertise in feeding, oral function, and myofunctional therapy.
Schedule & Compensation Pay:
$50-56 per hour, based on experience
Hours:
16 hours per week, guaranteed. Pay is based on scheduled hours, not on client attendance — if a family cancels, you are still paid.
Days:
Mondays and Thursdays, 9:00 AM to 5:00
PM Caseload:
Approximately 5.5 to 6.5 billable hours per day, leaving roughly two paid hours each day for documentation, parent communication, and preparation

3502 Henderson Blvd., Suite 308, Tampa, FL 33609. This is a clinic-based position with no travel between clients.
Start date:
Flexible. As a private-pay practice, we do not require insurance credentialing, so there is no waiting period to begin seeing clients.
Full-time:
Full-time here is a 32-hour week, available once a caseload sustains an average of 24 or more billable hours per week. Compensation and benefits at full-time, including paid time off, are discussed as part of the offer conversation. How We Practice Many of the families we see arrive after being told to wait and see, or after feeling their concerns were dismissed elsewhere. Our position is that if a parent has a concern, that concern deserves to be explored. Practically, that means we measure functional progress rather than standardized scores, we adapt to a child's developmental readiness rather than to a protocol, and we find ways to support children who are not yet ready for structured myofunctional work rather than discharging them. Clinicians who do well here are comfortable working outside rigid frameworks and treat parent observation as clinical information. Responsibilities Provide evaluation and treatment for feeding difficulties, oral motor dysfunction, tethered oral tissues, airway and breathing concerns, and orofacial myofunctional disorders Conduct comprehensive evaluations covering feeding patterns and food textures, oral motor and chewing/swallowing skills, mealtime routines, oral and facial structure, body posture, breathing patterns, and sleep habits, along with speech and language screening Develop individualized treatment plans and functional goals Provide parent education and coaching, which is a central part of care in this practice Collaborate and coordinate care with referring and partnering providers, including pediatric dentists, lactation consultants, and bodyworkers Complete session documentation within 48 hours and treatment plans within 5 days of evaluation, all during paid working hours Prepare treatment materials and participate in clinic initiatives If of interest, there is also opportunity to treat adult clients with myofunctional concerns Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Active Florida SLP license Current CPR/BLS certification, or willingness to obtain upon hire Minimum two years of pediatric clinical experience. School, early intervention, hospital, or outpatient experience are all applicable. This is not a Clinical Fellowship position; we are not able to provide CF supervision at this time. Demonstrated interest in feeding therapy, oral function, or myofunctional therapy, whether through coursework, continuing education, or independent study Ability to manage a caseload, parent communication, and treatment planning independently Professional Development This practice sees a concentration of infant feeding, tethered oral tissue, airway, and myofunctional cases that is difficult to find elsewhere in the Tampa area. In this specialty, expertise comes from volume and repetition more than from coursework, and you will build depth here quickly. The clinic owner is a certified feeding and orofacial myofunctional specialist and is available for case consultation and clinical questions as they come up. Your first weeks include structured onboarding to our clinical approach and documentation standards. We are seeking an experienced clinician specifically because this role carries real independence — you will manage your caseload and your clinical decisions directly.
