Desired Qualifications:
Active or pending Florida Speech-Language Pathology License (CCC-SLP or CFY candidates welcome) Experience working in a school-based setting with middle or high school students is highly valued Comprehensive understanding of assessment, intervention, and AAC strategies Strong collaboration abilities for working with teachers, specialists, and parents Excellent organizational and time-management skills for managing caseload and documentation Commitment to fostering inclusive, nurturing learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver onsite speech and language therapy to students in grades 7-12 per individualized education plans (IEPs) Conduct thorough evaluations and re-evaluations with attention to detail Develop, track, and update IEP goals through progress monitoring and reporting Collaborate closely with a dedicated team of educators and support staff to implement effective interventions Communicate proactively with families to support student development and share progress Offer guidance and consultative support to staff regarding speech and language needs within the classroom This contract role blends flexibility with meaningful daily interaction, allowing you to specialize your skills while leaving a lasting mark on students' educational journeys.
