Aug 10, 2026 Job Description Speech-Language Pathologist Full-Time | 2026-27 School Year | 192-Day Contract Are you passionate about helping every student reach their full potential? Heartland AEA is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team for the 2026-27 school year. Heartland AEA supports 57 public school districts, 44 accredited nonpublic schools, and 2 charter schools across central Iowa. This full-time position working a 192-day contract would be based out of our Ames office serving Early ACCESS (Birth to 3) in the Ames school districts, Early ACCESS and Community Referrals (Birth to 5) in the Boone school district, Early ACCESS, Community Referrals, and Preschool (Birth to 5) in the Ogden and United school districts, and K-12 in the Madrid school district. What You'll Do Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary team members to support students' communication needs. Conduct speech-language assessments that are relevant to the presenting concern and meaningful within educational and home contexts. Plan, implement, and monitor evidence-based interventions using a variety of service delivery models. Support the generalization of communication skills across settings through collaboration and consultation. Why Join Us? Licensure:
Appropriately licensed/certified by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners through the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners
Education:
Master's degree in speech pathology or communications disorders from a recognized training institution or qualified by a Statement of Professional Recognition Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred Job Description
Position Type:
