Assess and treat dysphagia and provide appropriate swallowing and dietary recommendations within the scope of practice. Monitor resident progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate. Educate residents, families, caregivers, and facility staff regarding communication and swallowing needs. Participate in care plan meetings and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team. Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation. Communicate changes in resident condition and treatment recommendations to appropriate team members. Promote resident safety, dignity, independence, and quality of life. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Current Iowa SLP license or eligibility for Iowa licensure. ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship status. Previous experience in skilled nursing, subacute rehabilitation, acute care, or another medical setting is preferred but not required. Strong communication, organizational, and clinical skills.
