  • Meaningful work with a geriatric population Position Summary Concept Rehab is seeking a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team at a skilled nursing facility in Johnston, Iowa .
This role offers exceptional flexibility for clinicians seeking supplemental income, schedule control, or work-life balance while delivering high-quality speech therapy services. The Speech-Language Pathologist evaluates and treats residents with communication, cognitive, swallowing, and speech disorders. The SLP works collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to maximize patient outcomes and quality of life. Requirements Key Responsibilities Evaluate residents and establish individualized treatment plans. Provide speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing therapy services. Complete accurate and timely documentation, progress notes, and billing. Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, families, and interdisciplinary team members. Participate in care planning and discharge planning meetings. Educate residents, caregivers, and facility staff on treatment strategies and maintenance programs. Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate. Maintain compliance with all federal, state, facility, and company guidelines. Support a positive, patient-centered rehabilitation environment. Qualifications Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred. Current Iowa Speech-Language Pathology license or eligibility to obtain licensure. Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or geriatric settings preferred.
