A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.
Job Summary Speech Cloud LLC - One Voice at a Time is seeking a compassionate and motivated School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our growing team and provide speech and language services to students in a school setting in Caldwell, Idaho . We are currently seeking candidates interested in full-time or part-time opportunities . Duties & Responsibilities Provide individualized and small-group speech and language therapy to students. Conduct speech and language evaluations and screenings as appropriate. Develop measurable, individualized speech and language goals. Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) . Attend IEP meetings and communicate student progress with parents, teachers, and school staff. Maintain accurate and timely documentation, progress notes, and required school records. Monitor student progress and modify treatment plans and goals as needed. Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, families, and other professionals. Provide strategies and recommendations to support students' communication skills in the classroom. Provide evidence-based, culturally responsive, and student-centered services. Follow applicable school, state, and federal special education requirements. Requirements Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Active Idaho Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility to obtain Idaho licensure. ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred. School-based or pediatric experience preferred. Knowledge of IEPs and special education procedures preferred. Experience working with articulation/phonological disorders, language disorders, autism, fluency, AAC, childhood apraxia of speech, and other communication needs is a plus. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus, but not required. Strong communication, organization, documentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a school-based team.
