Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students from 4th to 8th grade in a dynamic school-based setting near the Chicago, IL area. This full-time, on-site position (Monday-Friday, 8:15 am-3:30 pm) runs from September 14 to December 16, 2026, covering a maternity leave. You'll bring your expertise to a caseload of approximately 45-50 students, making a tangible difference in their communication and academic success.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Active Illinois SLP license/certification CCC-SLP, CFY, and school-based experience highly desirable Pediatric SLP experience preferred Strong skills in assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring in educational environments
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services in accordance with student IEPs for 4th through 8th graders Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain thorough documentation Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team decisions Deliver therapy that inspires confidence and empowers student success in school Why consider this position?
