Job Description

Step into an exciting opportunity for a skilled SLP to make an impact supporting K-8 students during the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time contract role offers 35 hours each week, working with a diverse cross-categorical caseload. Collaborate with passionate educators near the Channahon, IL and Shorewood, IL areas to help students enhance their communication abilities and reach their full potential.

Qualifications & Experience:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current Illinois SLP license and CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence) Prior experience in a school-based setting, especially with K-8 students, is highly desirable Ability to manage and effectively serve a cross-categorical caseload Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with students, families, and staff Strong organizational and time management skills for flexible caseload needs

Role Responsibilities:

Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy to K-8 students, targeting a broad spectrum of communication disorders Conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) based on student needs Maintain detailed session notes, progress reports, and corresponding documentation in a timely manner Work in tandem with classroom teachers and support staff to facilitate generalization of skills Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and team consultations Engage families as partners in the therapeutic process, providing strategies and progress updates Support a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued Explore a contract position where your expertise will be celebrated and your contributions truly matter.
