Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact this school year by delivering speech-language services to students in a vibrant, supportive educational setting. This full-time, onsite position is an ideal opportunity for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to work directly with learners aged 3 to 21, helping them overcome communication challenges and achieve their academic potential. Enjoy the structure of a consistent schedule—35 hours per week—from August 19, 2026, through June 1, 2027, supporting school staff, students, and families as a valued team member. The onsite, in-person nature of this role provides valuable opportunities to collaborate, observe, and deliver direct interventions.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathology license required Professional Educator License (PEL) required Experience or interest in school-based SLP practice, working with children and young adults Ability to adapt support strategies to serve diverse learners, from early childhood to transition-aged students Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students, following their IEPs and communication goals Conduct assessments, document progress, and participate in eligibility determination meetings Work closely with educators, staff, and families to maximize student success Contribute to IEP planning, progress reporting, and multidisciplinary collaboration Maintain records and documentation in compliance with state and district policies
