Job Description
Job Duties and Requirements:
This contract position spans the current school year, March 1, 2026 through June 2, 2026, and requires a commitment of 35 hours per week, working onsite in a district near Matteson, IL. The caseload will be determined based on grade level and number of schools served. Provide direct and indirect speech and language services to students exhibiting mild to intensive needs. Conduct speech language evaluations and complete written reports in accordance with district timelines. Develop measurable IEP goals aligned with present levels of performance. Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions. Support students with a wide range of speech-language-related issues to meet academic performance standards. SLPs work includes prevention, assessment, intervention, and program design efforts that are integrated within a school curriculum in conjunction with teachers, parents, and other relevant stakeholders. Maintain accurate documentation, daily session notes, progress reports, and billing records in compliance with district protocols. Collaborate with special education staff, general education teachers, related service providers, and families to support student outcomes. Support inclusive practices and provide classroom based intervention when appropriate. Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and exercise sound professional judgment, especially in interactions with administration, colleagues, families, and students.Physical Requirements:
Light Work:
Exerting up to twenty (20) pounds of force occasionally, up to ten (10) pounds of force frequently, or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an ASHA accredited university required. Active Illinois Professional Educator License with Speech Language Pathologist endorsement required. Certificate of Clinical Competence CCC preferred. Minimum 1 plus years of school based experience preferred. Strong knowledge ofIDEA, IEP
development, and compliance procedures required. Must possess a valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a vehicle to travel within the Chicago metropolitan area if serving multiple sites.Schedule:
Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 3:30 pm 35 hours per weekOnsite Compensation:
