Job Description
BMS Pediatric Therapy Group, P.C. is a therapist owned private practice providing high quality speech and developmental therapy services to children ages 6 months through 18 years across the Chicagoland area. We partner with school districts to deliver specialized, compliant, and student centered related services. We are currently seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to provide services during the Extended School Year ESY program for our school district partner located near Matteson, IL. About the ESY Program The Extended School Year program supports students with disabilities who require continued specialized instruction and related services beyond the traditional academic year in order to maintain progress toward their individualized goals. Eligibility is determined by each student's IEP team. ESY services are provided at no cost to families and are delivered in small class settings with the support of a full special education team. Students may receive speech language therapy, social work, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and educational assistant support in accordance with their IEPs. Teams consider the severity of need, evidence of regression during extended school breaks, and recoupment patterns when determining eligibility. Job Responsibilities Provide direct speech language therapy services in alignment with IEP identified ESY minutes. Implement existing IEP goals and collect data to support progress monitoring within a condensed instructional timeframe. Collaborate with special education teachers and related service providers to support student access and participation. Complete required documentation, daily service logs, and end of session progress summaries in accordance with district timelines. Support students with mild to intensive communication needs in small group and classroom based settings. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an ASHA accredited university required. Active Illinois Professional Educator License with Speech Language Pathologist endorsement required. Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred. Prior school based experience preferred. Strong understanding of IEP implementation and compliance procedures required. Schedule Summer ESY session dates follow the district calendar and typically run from June 3 through July 17, 2026. Programs are generally scheduled Monday through Thursday. Part time hours based on assigned caseload. Onsite in the south suburbs of Chicago. Compensation Hourly rate ranges from $60.00 to $70.00 per hour W 2 employee and 1099 independent contractor options are available. Final rate determination will reflect prior experience and employment structure selected.
