Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic school-based role providing speech-language therapy and support for students from Pre-K through 8th grade. This full-time contract opportunity is conveniently situated near Cicero, IL, in a single, welcoming school building. You'll work alongside dedicated educators and an engaged student community to help build communication skills and foster student success across a diverse caseload of approximately 50 students, including those with autism spectrum disorder, speech-only needs, and various other communication challenges.
Key Qualifications:
Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required Prior school-based experience preferred, especially with diverse student populations Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills Flexibility and willingness to adapt to the unique needs of each student Licensure to practice as an SLP in
Illinois Role Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and indirect speech, language, and communication services to students in PK-8th grade Develop, implement, and update individualized education plans (IEPs) Conduct comprehensive assessments and document progress Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families Support students with a variety of needs, including speech only, ASD, and mixed conditions Participate in meetings, professional development, and consultative services as needed This position offers a consistent weekday schedule (8:00 am-3:30 pm) totaling 35 hours per week, enabling you to make meaningful connections and lasting impacts on a manageable and rewarding caseload—all in one inviting school location.
