Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role providing speech-language services to students in a supportive school environment. This contract opportunity is located near Country Club Hills, IL and is ideal for a skilled professional passionate about helping students reach their full communication potential.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA Active state license to practice as an SLP in Illinois (or eligibility to obtain) Previous school-based experience preferred, though strong clinical backgrounds are also considered Excellent communication and collaboration skills Compassion and patience when working with students of varying abilities
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech, language, and communication needs Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and set measurable goals tailored to student progress Deliver direct therapy services to students individually and in small groups Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote effective communication strategies in the classroom and at home Maintain accurate records of student progress and document services rendered in accordance with school policies Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and staff development activities This position offers a dynamic setting where you can make a meaningful impact supporting students' academic and personal growth.
