Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting students' communication growth in a dynamic school environment. This contract opportunity for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) offers the chance to work full-time, on-site, during the academic year. The position begins in mid-August and continues through the end of May, providing approximately 33.25 hours per week in a collaborative, supportive setting.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) Active Illinois SLP license (or eligibility to obtain before start) Previous experience in school-based settings strongly preferred Strong knowledge of evaluation, intervention, and documentation procedures for school-aged children Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Dedication to helping students maximize their academic and social participation
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct and consultative speech and language therapy to K-12 students based on IEP goals Conduct assessments and participate in IEP meetings, offering insights and recommendations Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual student needs Maintain accurate and timely therapy documentation Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to foster inclusive learning environments Contribute to team meetings, provide staff support, and participate in relevant trainings As part of this role, you'll benefit from working with a supportive staff in a positive school culture, gaining valuable experience in the education sector.
