9674531-62948 Job Description Step into a rewarding contract position supporting early learners with communication needs during a maternity leave coverage from November 16 through January 28. This opportunity invites an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to positively impact young children in a school-based setting. The role runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, providing services to an early childhood caseload.
Key Qualifications:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology Active Illinois SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL) required Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) preferred Previous experience in a school or early childhood setting highly valued Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with staff, students, and families Record of thorough documentation and progress reporting
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct screenings and assessments for students in early childhood programs Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy to support student learning Maintain up-to-date records in compliance with state and district guidelines Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to create comprehensive support plans Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the multidisciplinary team Foster an encouraging and inclusive environment to help young learners grow in their communication abilities This contract role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference during a critical time in a childs development.
