Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a supportive school team in Joliet, Illinois for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time, school-based opportunity offers a dynamic K-8 caseload supporting diverse student populations. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide speech therapy services to K-8 students with a cross-categorical caseload
  • Conduct speech and language evaluations, assessments, and re-evaluations
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families
  • Address a range of communication needs including articulation, language, fluency, and social communication
  • Maintain accurate and compliant documentation per IDEA and Illinois state guidelines Position Overview
  • Full-time schedule: 35 hours per week
  • Diverse caseload: K-8 cross-categorical

  • Ideal for both experienced clinicians and Clinical Fellows (CFY mentorship available) Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Illinois SLP License (or eligibility)
ASHA CCC-SLP
preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFY) encouraged to apply
