Job Description

Category Schools - SLP - CFY Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding and dynamic school environment as a Speech-Language Pathologist or Clinical Fellow (CFY), providing dedicated support to K-5th grade students. With a manageable caseload of 25-30 students at a single, welcoming school, you'll make a meaningful difference as a trusted resource for students, families, and staff alike. This fully contracted position runs from August 17, 2026, through May 28, 2027, giving you the chance to experience the impact of a complete academic year. You'll work a consistent schedule of 35.5 hours per week (8:25am-4:00pm), allowing you to build strong connections with your caseload across the school year. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active Illinois SLP license, or ability to obtain Open to SLP (CCC) or SLP-CFY candidates Experience or strong interest in working with elementary-aged children Familiarity with resource model delivery preferred Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills Commitment to fostering student growth and engagement
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and treat students with communication and language disorders Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Deliver therapy in individual and small group settings Monitor and document student progress with accuracy and care Collaborate with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams Participate in team meetings and staff development as scheduled In this role, you'll find a fulfilling opportunity to help shape young learners' lives while growing your own career.
