Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of students near Lockport, IL by providing essential speech and language support on a manageable, part-time contract basis. This opportunity is ideal for skilled SLPs holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) who are seeking a flexible schedule while influencing student growth and progress. You'll work just 2 hours weekly, enabling a positive work-life balance and the ability to tailor your expertise to each child's needs.
Desired Background and Qualifications:
Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of Illinois Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA required Experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students, staff, and families Ability to develop and implement IEP goals effectively Commitment to evidence-based and student-centered therapy practices
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct speech and language screenings, assessments, and evaluations for assigned students Develop individualized and group therapy plans in accordance with IEPs Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to ensure holistic support for students Maintain organized records, progress notes, and required documentation Provide consultative services and resources to school teams when needed Participate in IEP meetings as appropriate and contribute to goal-setting
