Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic and rewarding contract opportunity as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellow (CFY) in the Rockford, IL area. Embrace a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week and start your journey with orientation on August 3, 2026; your first day working with students is August 11, 2026, continuing through May 28, 2027. Desired Qualifications:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders Current (or eligible) Illinois state SLP licensure Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or CFY status Experience or enthusiasm for working with children in educational settings Strong collaborative and communication skills Willingness to contribute to process improvement and best practices

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct speech-language therapy services to K-12 students Conduct evaluations and develop intervention plans Document progress and maintain accurate records Engage in monthly team meetings and roundtables for shared learning Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development opportunities Take part in regular check-ins and annual performance reviews Utilize school-provided equipment and assessment materials Connect with peers and mentors via an innovative intranet for real-time collaboration
