Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract position dedicated to supporting students' communication needs in a dynamic school environment near Machesney Park, IL. This role, open to both licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) and Clinical Fellows (CFY), offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. The assignment begins with orientation on August 3, followed by your first day with students on August 11, 2026, and will run until May 28, 2027.
Key Qualifications:
Hold Illinois SLP license or be eligible as a Clinical Fellow (CFY) Demonstrate strong communication and organization skills Comfortable working with diverse student populations across grade levels Eager to collaborate and engage in continuous professional growth
What You'll Do:
Provide direct speech and language therapy to students as matched to your skills and interests Develop, implement, and update individualized education plans (IEPs) Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, monthly roundtables, and annual performance reviews Access comprehensive testing materials and equipment for evaluations and therapy Collaborate with colleagues during scheduled meetings and through a dedicated regional intranet platform Contribute to process improvements to refine best practices and efficient service delivery Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance your school-based practice Enjoy regular support and supervision, including a "Buddy Program" to guide new hires and easy access to a same-discipline supervisor
