Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students' communication growth for the upcoming school year! This full-time, contract position focuses on serving 2nd to 4th-grade students at a single site, where you'll have a dedicated therapy space designed just for you—providing the ideal environment to implement evidence-based interventions. Your role will encompass a diverse range of responsibilities, including individualized therapy, assessments, collaboration with teachers and parents, and overseeing emerging SLP talent. As part of this assignment, you'll provide clinical supervision to a Clinical Fellow (CFY), guiding their professional development and fostering high-quality, ethical care within the school setting.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid SLP license in Illinois, CCC certification preferred but Clinical Fellowship candidates are also encouraged to apply Experience or interest in pediatrics, especially within 2nd-4th grade populations Prior work in school-based or healthcare SLP settings is highly valued Ability to supervise and mentor a CFY (if CCC certified) Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and deliver speech therapy to elementary students Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to support student success Supervise and mentor a Clinical Fellow, aiding their transition into the profession Utilize a private, dedicated space to provide focused therapy services This assignment enables you to make a lasting impact while furthering your own professional journey in a supportive educational environment.
