Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant educational setting near Oak Lawn, IL. This full-time, onsite position runs from August 19, 2026, through June 1, 2027, offering a chance to make a profound impact on students from ages 3 to 21. As a valued member of the special education team, you will provide direct, in-person therapy and collaborate closely with educators, families, and support staff to foster student growth and communication success.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathology license required Professional Educator License (PEL) for Illinois is mandatory Experience working with school-aged or pediatric populations preferred Comfortable supporting diverse age groups, from preschool to transition-aged students Strong communication and documentation skills Energetic, adaptable, and team-oriented with a passion for student development
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver in-person speech and language services in accordance with IEP goals Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans Collaborate with teachers, parents, and related service providers Maintain accurate student records and participate in IEP meetings Provide guidance and resources to educators and families regarding speech and language needs Adapt interventions to meet a wide spectrum of developmental stages and abilities This onsite, school-based contract role is ideal for an SLP ready to inspire growth and enhance communication skills across a diverse student population.
