Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming academic year. This position is based exclusively on-site near Orland Park, IL, servicing a district that covers early childhood through 8th grade. Your expertise will make a direct impact on communication and learning outcomes for a diverse student population. Ideal applicants meet the following qualifications: Current, valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist from the
IDFPR SLP-CCC
credentials preferred Previous experience in school settings or with pediatric caseloads Strong organizational, documentation, and collaboration skills Must provide an ISBE number at the time of application Key responsibilities include: Deliver evidence-based speech, language, and communication therapy for identified students Manage a caseload of approximately 45 students in collaboration with another SLP, within a total district caseload of 70 Complete comprehensive evaluations and develop IEPs according to district and state guidelines Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to support educational progress Ensure compliance with all union protocols and documentation requirements This contract runs from approximately August 17th to May 21st, with a weekly commitment of 33.75 hours. All services must be delivered in-person—remote or virtual SLP ("Voco") support is not available in this role. Take the next step in your SLP career and help shape young learners' futures!
