Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a real impact working as a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist with school-aged students, supporting communication skills in an engaging educational environment for the 2026-2027 academic year. This in-person, contract opportunity is located near Pontiac, IL, offering the chance to collaborate with a dedicated school community while maintaining a flexible work schedule.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Master's degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program Current Illinois SLP license (or ability to obtain prior to start) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, CFs considered Prior experience working with school-age children in an educational setting Strong interpersonal and communication abilities Commitment to providing individualized, evidence-based therapy
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct, in-person speech and language therapy services to students according to IEP goals Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings Support the development of communication and social skills in students with a range of speech and language needs Stay up to date with best practices and continuing education for school-based SLPs This rewarding, part-time contract offers a stable, predictable schedule during the school year and the chance to build meaningful relationships with students and families.
