Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic part-time role supporting high school students through exceptional speech-language therapy services. This contract opportunity spans three days per week and plays a pivotal part in helping students reach their fullest communication potential within an engaging educational environment. Leverage your expertise to plan and provide targeted therapy interventions, focusing on assistive technology, augmentative communication, social language skills, articulation, voice, oral-motor function, feeding, and areas of receptive and expressive language development. You'll have the opportunity to perform diagnostic and evaluation testing, and deliver comprehensive, insightful reports based on student assessments and direct observations. Bringing comfort and skill to your work, you'll engage with students ages 2 to 22 who have moderate to severe disabilities. Your responsibilities extend to developing and maintaining individualized education program (IEP) objectives and collaborating closely with parents and fellow professionals. Effective and sensitive communication is key, ensuring that each student's developmental progress and areas for growth are well-supported.
Qualifications include:
Valid or qualifying Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) and Professional Educator License (PEL) Preferred 1-2 years' experience as a school-based SLP Collaborative spirit with strong interpersonal and communication skills Flexibility and creative problem-solving abilities This role offers competitive compensation based on experience, reliable weekly pay, and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
