Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract This part-time role offers an opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of comprehensive speech language therapy services within a school environment in Tinley Park, IL. Scheduled for three days per week on a contract basis, the position involves working closely with students aged 2 to 22 years with moderate to severe disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and implement speech language therapy addressing assistive technology, augmentative communication, social language skills, articulation, voice, oral-motor function, feeding, and receptive and expressive language delays. Conduct diagnostic and evaluation testing as needed to assess student needs. Prepare clear, comprehensive reports reflecting student assessments and observations. Develop and maintain Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives tailored to student progress. Collaborate effectively with parents, colleagues, and multidisciplinary teams to support student development and communicate progress.
Qualifications:
Hold or be eligible for an Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) license along with a Professional Educator License (PEL). Preferably 1 to 2 years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a school setting. Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Flexibility and problem-solving aptitude to adapt to varied student and program needs.
