Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students in grades 4 through 8. This onsite, school-based position, just outside Chicago, offers the chance to make a meaningful difference for students during a maternity leave coverage from September 14, 2026, through December 16, 2026. Position Details:
Full-time schedule: 37.5 hours per week, 8:15am - 3:30pm Serve a caseload of 45-50 students across 4th to 8th grade Onsite only - collaborate closely with school teams and students
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Active Illinois SLP license/certification (CCC or CFY) School-based experience highly preferred, especially in pediatric or adolescent populations Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct speech and language assessments and screenings Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) Provide direct and indirect speech therapy services tailored to student needs Document student progress and maintain accurate records Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams Deliver effective interventions aligned with student goals
