Job Description
Description Seeking a Compassionate, Skilled, Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Join the team at ClarkLindsey! The Speech-Language Pathologist evaluates and treats residents with communication, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders. The SLP provides resident-centered care to support safe intake, improved communication, and cognitive engagement.
What You'll Do:
- Complete comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on resident goals.
- Conduct dysphagia therapy, cognitive retraining, communication therapy, and compensatory strategy training.
- Collaborate with dining services, nursing, and medical providers regarding swallow safety and diet recommendations.
- Document services timely and accurately.
- Provide caregiver and staff education on communication strategies and dysphagia precautions.
What You Bring:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current Illinois SLP license & ASHA CCC-SLP certification.
- CPR certification.
- Experience with adult and geriatric populations strongly preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
The pay for this PRN position is $51.00 per hour. Bonuses equaling up to 2% of salary annually are available based on performance, generally in the spring and fall each year.
