Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC certification is needed for a school contract position in Urbana, IL. This role focuses on providing specialized speech and language support to a diverse student population from early childhood through 8th grade, with a particular emphasis on Spanish-speaking students.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive speech-language therapy to a bilingual caseload (Spanish-English), serving approximately 10-15 students. Support a monolingual caseload as determined by part-time or full-time status, potentially working with up to 40-45 students total. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique communication needs of students. Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to facilitate student progress. Monitor student performance and maintain accurate records aligned with educational standards.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology. Fluent bilingual skills in Spanish and English, both written and spoken. Experience working in school settings with children across early childhood to middle school grades. Ability to manage varying caseloads and multitask effectively. Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Contract period:
Anticipated start on August 11th or 12th, with an end date around May 28th, including possible adjustments for emergency days. Opportunity to renew contract for the following school year based on mutual interest and performance.
