Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students' speech and language development in an engaging school environment. We're seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to work with a diverse student population, including AAC users and children who benefit from multimodal communication strategies. This vital role is based at a school near Washington, IL, with a start date as soon as possible and extending through June 2027. You'll work a consistent weekday schedule of 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, supporting a caseload of 38 students. Become a valued advocate and facilitator for their communication growth.

Qualifications & Experience:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active SLP license (or eligibility) in Illinois Previous experience working within school-based settings Familiarity with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices and strategies Strong understanding of multimodal communication approaches Experience supporting students with behavioral needs preferred Collaborative, compassionate, and flexible mindset

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for students' speech and language needs Provide direct therapy to students, utilizing AAC and multimodal supports as needed Implement IEPs and provide ongoing updates in consultation with teachers and support staff Foster a supportive, positive environment for children with unique communication and behavioral needs Communicate regularly with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams Document progress and maintain compliance with school and regulatory guidelines Enjoy the
