Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role serving high school and transitioning-aged students with complex needs. This full-time position starts August 18, 2026, and continues through June 2, 2027, offering the chance to make a profound difference in students' communication and academic growth. Work directly with students who rely on assistive technology to access learning and enhance their daily lives. Hours are 7:30am to 3:00pm, Monday through Friday, for a total of 37.5 hours each week. With a focus on collaboration, you'll be part of a dedicated team supporting students' unique communication paths while promoting independence and confidence.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC). Prior experience working with high school-aged and transition-aged students. Competency with assistive technology for communication and instructional purposes. Ability to manage the needs of students with complex communication requirements. Strong communication and interpersonal collaboration skills.
Responsibilities:
Provide speech and language therapy services to high school and transitioning students. Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans utilizing assistive technology. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families to foster student progress. Adapt therapy approaches to support varying levels of ability and unique learning profiles. Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings. Offer guidance on implementing assistive technology in both classroom and community settings.
