Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist for an upcoming maternity leave coverage in a supportive educational environment near Waukegan, IL. The role is set to begin September 4, 2026, and extend through December 11, 2026, offering a full-time, onsite schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. You'll work with dedicated staff and a welcoming student body across elementary and middle school settings.

Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current and active Illinois SLP license (no Voco or remote applicants - onsite only) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Prior experience within school environments and familiarity with school-aged populations Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in students Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to address student needs Deliver direct therapy services to elementary and middle school students Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to support student progress Maintain accurate records and progress reports according to district and legal guidelines Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere
