Job Description

Category Schools - SLP - CFY Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact on the lives of elementary students in a welcoming educational environment near Zion, IL. This contract opportunity is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidate who thrives in resource settings and enjoys supporting learners from kindergarten through fifth grade. You'll be working in a single, collaborative school building with a manageable caseload of 25 to 30 students. The position follows a reliable full-time schedule of 35.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:25am to 4pm. Your role will begin on August 17, 2026, and conclude on May 28, 2027, giving you the chance to support students and staff through a full academic year. New staff training details will be provided closer to the assignment start date.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences Eligible for, or possession of, Illinois SLP licensure Accepting both SLP-CCC and SLP-CFY candidates Experience in resource or school-based settings preferred Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality speech and language services to a caseload of 25-30 elementary students Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) Collaborate with teachers, aides, and families to support students' progress in the classroom Conduct evaluations and participate in IEP meetings as needed Deliver both direct and consultative therapy services in a resource setting Take advantage of the chance to grow your expertise in a supportive school community, supported by professional colleagues.
