Job Description

Make a positive impact in the lives of young learners as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2026-2027 school year in the vibrant Crown Point, IN area. Two full-time SLPs are needed for onsite roles, supporting both elementary and middle school students. Bring your expertise to a collaborative educational setting, working with students from diverse backgrounds and contributing to their communication growth.

Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive speech and language therapy services for elementary and middle school students. Manage a caseload of 45-55 students, with assignments as follows: One SLP will serve one elementary and one middle school. The other SLP will serve two middle schools. Conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and document student progress. Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and other multidisciplinary professionals. Participate in IEP meetings and provide input for student goal-setting. Foster an inclusive, supportive atmosphere that encourages student growth.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Active SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP). Previous experience working in school settings strongly preferred. Familiarity with current best practices for elementary and middle school populations. Excellent communication and organizational abilities. Ability to work with caseloads across multiple school buildings.

Contract Details:

Full academic year: August 12, 2026, through May 26, 2027. Onsite only; 37.5 hours per week.
