Speech & Language Pathologist

POSITION SUMMARY
Speech Language Pathologist provides services to students with language and/or speech impairments in accordance with corporation policy and state and federal special education mandatory laws.
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR
Building Administrator Director of Special Education DUTIES:
Provide direct and/or consult services to students with speech and/or language impairments Conduct speech, language and hearing screenings and evaluations within mandated timelines and in accordance with state law and corporation procedures Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEP's) Collect Data on student progress toward goals/objectives Provide Quarterly progress reports on students on the caseload Complete ISTAR/KR or collaborate on the completion of ISTAR on students who require this assessment Maintain records/enter information for Medicaid reimbursement Consult with school staff and administrators regarding individual student needs Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Required experience or training: Master's degree and Indiana License from the Division of Professional Standards in Communication Disorders D esired experience or training: Certificate of Clinical Competence Willingness to supervise SLPA, if needed Applicant must not have had a recommendation for Probation Assistance on his/her most recent evaluation Experience with various disabilities and language/speech disorders preferred Works in standard office and school building environments. Must be able to work regularly scheduled hours. Must be able to handle stress.
