Location:
Saint John Hospital, Leavenworth, KS A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializes in diagnosing and treating speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. SLP work with individuals of all ages to improve communication skills and enhance quality of life by developing and implementing individualized treatment plans. Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) work closely with other healthcare professionals and educates patients and family members about communication strategies to health improve speech in the patient's daily life. https://www.primehealthcare.com/careers/benefits/ Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): Assess and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Provide therapy to improve articulation, fluency, voice disorders, and language comprehension. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other relevant professionals. Maintain detailed records of patient evaluation, treatment, and progress. Educate clients and family members about communication strategies. Stay updated on clinical research and advances in speech-language pathology. Qualifications Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers.
You must have:
Graduate of an accredited college or university with a master's degree in speech-language pathology required. Active license to practice speech language pathology in the state of anticipated employment, free of disciplinary action required. Active Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), free of disciplinary action - OR - Speech Language Pathology Clinical Fellow (SLP-CFs) to be considered on a case-by-case basis (provided proper supervision can be afforded to the CF) required. At least one year of experience in a hospital setting.
