Job Description

Category Schools - SLP - CFY Job Type Contract A school district in Lawrence, KS is seeking a motivated Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow (SLP-CF) for the upcoming school year. This is a strong opportunity to complete your Clinical Fellowship in a supportive, collaborative school environment with structured supervision. Position Overview Full-time, Monday-Friday (35-40 hours/week) Onsite role serving PreK-12 students (assignment based on district needs) Supervision provided by a licensed SLP for CF completion Full school year contract with potential for renewal Caseload Details Average caseload: 40-60 students (varies by building) Students with mild to moderate communication needs Areas of service include: Articulation & phonological disorders Receptive/expressive language delays Social/pragmatic communication needs Fluency and voice disorders Possible exposure to: Autism spectrum disorders AAC/assistive technology users Early childhood and elementary populations
Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations Develop and implement IEP goals Provide direct therapy (individual and small group) Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams Maintain documentation and compliance Kansas State Requirements (SLP-CF) Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Eligibility for Kansas Department of Education Speech-Language Pathologist licensure/certification through the Kansas State Department of Education Licensure through the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (professional SLP credentialing body) Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship (CF) under a licensed SLP Passing the Praxis exam typically required for full certification/licensure Required background checks (state and federal fingerprinting clearance) What We're Looking For Strong communication and organizational skills Passion for working with school-aged children Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team Commitment to completing Clinical Fellowship requirements Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled
