Successful candidates will be located at TARC, Inc. in Topeka, KS. The therapist will work as part of a team conducting evaluations, program planning, and caregiver coaching in children's homes, childcare settings and other community locations. The position will open February 1, 2025, we will continue to interview candidates until we find a match for our program. Requirements:
Applicant must hold or be eligible for Kansas certification/licensure in speech-language pathology. Four years' experience working with persons with disabilities preferred. Must have and maintain a valid Kansas Driver's License as well as a satisfactory driving record. All applicants will be required to present a current Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) at the time of application.
Essential Functions:
Conduct intake and screening visits (to determine eligibility for services) at the family's home, childcare, or other natural setting. Work as a transdisciplinary team member to collaboratively serve eligible infants and toddlers. Participate in team evaluations to determine the eligibility of referred children, as well as participate in team assessment to determine the functional developmental strengths/challenges of eligible children. Work together with families and other team members to develop appropriate Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) based upon family-identified priorities. Provide Family Service coordination including identifying, mobilizing, and coordinating community resources and services to enable the family to receive the maximum benefits from early intervention services. Collaborate with other community resources for assigned families. Complete appropriate documentation for accountability, compliance, billing, data entry and communication with other providers according to state, federal and local guidelines. Deliver ongoing home and community-based intervention utilizing a primary provider model and coaching interaction style for caregiver support to increase the child's participation, engagement and independence throughout daily routines and activities. Participate in teaming process. Monitor parent-child progress in terms of goals met.
