PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Works with assigned agencies/schools to provide speech therapy for identified children. Ensure that screening and evaluation procedures are provided for these students. Ensure that due process procedures are followed. Maintain necessary records in a confidential manner. Work, in condition, with the Director of Special Education to meet program needs for identified students. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education. Assists the Director in locating and identifying eligible handicapped students. Assists by screening referred children to determine eligibility for further evaluations. Schedules evaluations for those children determined through screening/referral process to be eligible. Works with other professionals (i.e. School Psychologists) to ensure a complete evaluation. Keeps all records required by law, and due process requirements. This includes permission forms, testing (screening and other), IEP's and documentation of parental contact. Works with the Director of Special Education to determine the most appropriate program direction.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Approved Certification with State of Kentucky or valid speech-language pathology license issued by the Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. ASHA Certification Preferred.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Salary and work year to be established by the board of education.

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of board policy for Professional Personnel.
